The knowledge I gained and my unconventional designs led me to teach courses and workshops all over the world. From London, Amsterdam, Madrid, New York, Chicago to Melbourne and Sydney.
The workshops allowed me to be exposed and get to know a lot of people and different design and artistic approaches. Each one improved and developed me and my techniques and abilities and what is done in the studio.
Following many inquiries and requests, we decided to turn the techniques I teach live into short and accessible online workshops, which will allow everyone, both experienced and those who do not come from the field of design, to experiment and create original works yourself with the help of detailed explanatory videos.
We released two online workshops. One teaches a method of designing a real flower attached to a hair bow, which adds a personal flavor of original creation to any outfit. The second course deals with the method I developed in the studio of silk work and design into a finished and strong hat that manages to preserve the properties of the silk, and provide it with strength and stability for a creation that will last for a long time.Let's implement ideas that sit in your head and only need the right techniques to become a real product.

My attitude to fashion and creation process is how can I break the restrictive
regulations, develop new ways and angles to observe the making process and strive to give innovative, additional interpretations to the known reality.
Naïve Art allows us- as a grownup audience- a childlike perspective on everyday life, optimistic and colorful. I perceive both genres (the worlds of art and hats) as parallel lines that manage to connect in few places.
the six hats I have created try and show us a glimpse of these interfaces.
On the hats, which are actually fascinators, I built dioramas that depict everyday scenes, some active and some of an escapist reality.
The base of the hats is made of natural felt, that is being processed and shaped in our studio, on top of it the scenes were designed using miniatures and toys, that have been painted and their purpose has been changed to become a wearable art object.
The playful outlook of life that is being presented in Naïve Art as well as in my attitude offer us a tongue-in-cheek look at the present and, at the same time, allow us to manage and raise complex political- social issues and to criticize them.

Felt blocking is one of the oldest techniques of hat making and one of Maor’s favorite materials to work with. It allows to create sculpted hats with lots of
texture and depth.
during this class we will explore the world of felt and create a beautifully blocked/draped hats by combining a few techniques. We will learn how to use wood blocks to create our base hats and drape felt while exploring its countless possibilities. Later we will manipulate the material, paint it, distress it and bleach it
as Maor guides you through the whole process.
sculpting techniques with thermoplastic is one of my favorite ways to create hats. It is a new technique which combines two materials thermoplastic and silk. As an artist it allows me to create sculptur flowers and other plants or organic shapes. I research them by studying their structure, outline and color and assemble them together using this unique technique. Once done, I turn to tend to the small details by painting, shadings and adding embroidered beads.
Whether you are a hat making fan and want to experience working with thermoplastic or you are an artist who enjoys creating three dimensional object and care to learn an amazing new techniques, This workshop is for you. In this class we will learn how to manipulate these materials by making patterns, hit treatments, fold and reshape as well as exploring different coloring techniques. Finally, we will create the headpiece base and will attach all pieces together.
